    Sheffield Equine Clinic Services

    Our Sheffield Equine Clinic, in Rotherham, South Yorkshire provides an extensive range of clinic-based and on the road services, based on Hird & Partners well-established history with equine patients.

    Emergency Service

    The Clinic provides an emergency service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Call 01709 911900 to contact the on-call vet.

    Lameness Investigation
    Hird & Partners has a strong foundation in lameness investigation and treatment.

    The modern facilities at Sheffield Equine Clinic allow accurate assessment and provision of full range of treatment
    options.
    Pre-Purchase Examinations
    Hird & Partners have a team of vets with
    considerable experience performing pre-
    purchase examinations for buyers across
    a range of disciplines. We offer 5-stage
    and 2-stage vettings (and additional
    services) to suit the requirements of each
    buyer.
    Yard Visits
    We run a successful scheme of yard visits to selected livery yards and riding schools in certain areas. Yards are allocated a visit day during which we waive the visit charge, with the only cost being applied for the treatment administered.
    Diagnostic Imaging
    Our Sheffield Equine Clinic has modern, mobile, digital radiography and ultrasonography systems
    Gastroscopy
    The Clinic has a gastroscope to allow diagnosis of diseases affecting the equine oesophagus and stomach. We run regular gastroscopy clinic days.
    Routine Health Services
    We offer a full range of routine health
    services such as vaccinations, passports & microchipping, dental examinations, geriatric care, worming advice and euthanasia.
    Reproductive Services
    Our team provide an experienced
    reproductive service including
    pregnancy diagnosis, artificial
    insemination, infertility investigation, foal
    assessments and emergency assistance
    with difficult foalings.
    Medical Cases
    We have equipment and facilities to allow investigation of a range of medical conditions. Our in-house lab allows us to perform many blood tests on site, for rapid results.
    Out-of-Hours Service
    We run a full out-of-hours service to deal with any emergencies. Cases requiring additional supportive care can be referred to our Shelf Equine Hospital for further treatment.
