Hird and Partners are well equipped to care for individual animals be they pets or on small-holdings. We can tailor care to pet animals to ensure they receive special treatment that reflects how much they mean to their owners.

We are always available as a source of advice to the less experienced or new farm animal owner.

Our owner and smallholder client evenings aim to help educate and inform owners on the best way to care for their animals, common problems they may encounter and how to deal with them.

Endoscope

Endoscopy is a useful imaging tool to investigate gastro-intestinal complaints.
This requires general anaesthesia.

Preventative Medicine

We offer an active preventative medicine programme covering vaccination, worm and flea treatment and micro-chipping, these services are available at our King Street and Walsden surgeries.

Nurse Clinics

We run an active programme of nurse clinics, across all of our surgeries. Clinics include weight management, puppy parties, senior checks, 6 month-old checks and flea and worm checks.

Dentistry

We have a separate dentistry suite to keep dental procedures separate from "clean" surgical operations. Our SA team provide a range of dental services including routine scale and polish to tooth extractions

Hospitalisation

We have a full range of hospitalsation facilities. Kennels are a range of shapes and sizes, ensuring your pet has as comfortable a stay as possible.

Ultrasound

The King Street practice has a separate suite with private dark rooms for radiography, using state-of-the-art ultrasound scanner.

Our Services

Surgery and Anaesthesia

Surgery is carried our by our team of experienced Veterinary Surgeons, assisted by our nursing team. We have two large, well-equipped operating suites.

Radiography

The practice has a modern x-ray machine and automatic processor, used for imaging skeletal problems and some soft tissue structures.
